We started off appropriately with a Champagne toast…(I always add a bit of color with a fresh raspberry).

When I invite friends over, I always make them my guinea pigs and try one new recipe and one tried and true fav…so my NEW culinary adventure today was into the world of ebelskivers.  They are traditional Danish bite size pancakes that I chose to stuff with a raspberry filling.  You can get my exact recipe I used in Ebelskivers by Kevin Crafts.

Good LORD was it great to spend some quality one on one time with another woman who is fiercely and fearlessly showing up in life as her most unique self!  We got caught up, discussed our favorite subjects, shared our dreams for 2012, and asked each other for support in our most opposite areas of expertise!  All while relaxing  out by the fire.

Marie shot this one and posted it on Twitter, as she informed me of Instagram! So excited to get rolling with this fun technology.

I thought I’d want to use the time to catch up with and go out girlfriends…meaning filling in the time and space.  Not so much.

Though I do adore my friends, what I’m finding my being  is asking for is the gentleness of a feminine essence in my life.  So far today that has looked like:

*Sleeping in until 9:30 a.m. (I never do this!  I wake up without an alarm by 6 or 6:30 a.m.)

*A gorgeous cup of coffee outside in the cool Malibu weather just gazing at the ocean

*Personal trainer appointment–in home

*Phone call with an exquisite friend

*Oh, by the way, cleansing all day–yes, after my cup of coffee

*A smidge of The Cooking Channel

*A long shower

*A silky pomegranate elixir (you can get it from www.skinprophecy.com)

*A quiet evening at home (it is only 4pm so we’ll see,…however this is the intention!)

So today, I realized that to have the time and space to be feminine are the new luxury.

First, I slept for 12 hours last night!  9pm-9am never felt sooooo good!  I’ve been cleansing and working out with a trainer this week, so that may have something to do with the epic night’s sleep.

Then, after a lovely cup of coffee with my husband, and a work out…I just enjoyed sitting by my pool, and flipping through the September Food & Wine magazine.

I feel so blessed to be in a place today where I’m able to clearly tap into my intuition and trust it.  There were things I thought I should do today…and when I asked my intuition…I was getting answers like “rest”, “read a magazine”, “call some friends”.  So while I enjoyed plenty of time sunbathing by the pool, I also reflected on how grateful I am to be living my dream.

I just returned from a 6-week trip to London, Rome, Tuscany & Portofino…and the last place we stayed in Portofino was Hotel Splendido…an exquisite resort…actually, here’s a picture of how stunning it was on our balcony:

Now, my point is, as stunning as the hotel is, I’m now living in what I feel is equally an exquisite site.  I’m still blown away by how “quickly” life can evolve.  It wasn’t that long ago, just a few years really, that I was living in a place that didn’t inspire me, it didn’t match the frequency that I wanted to be at.

So realizing today, that we really can create the desires of our hearts.  I’m forever grateful.

Getting back to today, after I spent my feminine energy time in bliss, I then had the desire to come inside, answer a few emails, and make this blog post.  It had nothing of “should” energy in it…pure desire.

This week I’m going to continue practicing following the desires of my heart.

Have you ever noticed how lifestyles come in packages?  Or have you wondered why some women just seem to “have it all”?  Or how other women stay stuck in “lack” or some kind of drama?

I know this “success begets success” and “failure begets failure” dynamic well.

There was a time in my life, when I was

broke and boyfriend-less.

Even though I had an M.A. in clinical psychology, and had worked at The White House, Harvard’s Institute of Politics and the Supreme Court of the United States, I still couldn’t seem to figure out how make enough money to pay my bills on time.  I always brought in just under-enough.

I was your classic “under-earner”.

I didn’t have the self-esteem to charge my worth, I was taught not to focus on money, I thought that if I worked harder I’d get paid more, and I thought that helping others included lowering my rates.

Mostly I avoided the entire subject of money

because I was embarrassed that I was so weak in this area.

I wanted to be a powerful player in the world.  I wanted to make a great contribution.  I used to sit and listen to Marianne Williamson speak on stage about important issues happening in the world, and as much as I wanted to participate in that conversation, I sat in the audience totally obsessed with how I was going to pay my utility bill that month.

I wanted money in my life.  I was willing to work hard.  I wanted to share my gifts and talents.  Here I was, a psychotherapist at the time, people paid me to help them with their lives, and I was humiliated because in this way, I could barely help myself.

And then came the subject of men.

Same story.  I wanted to be in a committed, loving, relationship.  I felt like I had worked on myself enough to be a desirable woman.  I thought I was good looking enough.

Mostly in the man department it was lack…lack of dates, lack of receiving phone calls, lack of attracting interest.  And IF I did get asked out, it was such a ho-hum story.  It was so not enough–not in a high-maintenance way, but in a, “this is SO NOT a king kind of way.”

And then one day I made a decision to become a Queen, because that is the only rightful partner for King, and I was determined to marry a King.

Note to self:  Queens aren’t broke.

When I realized that my story about money included:

• Lack of money

• Fear that I’m not worth enough (to charge more)

• Intimidated to receive (money for my services)

• Even when it does show up it’s never enough

• Can’t figure out how to attract wealth

• I can’t have what I want (meaning I was supposed to “live within my means”–but who wants to learn how to live off of $24k/year?!)

• Money isn’t there for me

Well, guess what?!

I also realized that my man story included:

• Lack of dates

• Fear that I’m not worth enough (to be asked out)

• Intimidated to receive (attention, love, etc.)

• Even when he does show up the relationship is never enough

• Can’t figure out how to attract men

• I can’t have what I want (meaning everyone around me had their own ideas for the kind of man I was supposed to end up with)

• Men aren’t there for me

As soon as I stepped into the commitment of being Queen in my life, I immediately realized that included being Queen of my Finances as well.

The old programming of “You better marry a rich man” didn’t apply to the modern day empowerment of women, which includes being financially savvy.

I always say, if you want the best personal development seminar in the world, start your own business.

In the process of me being dedicated to attracting wealth into my life in both the areas of money and man…both showed up!

I now create in a week, what I used to earn in a year financially, and I’m happily married to my soul mate.

As you can see, working on your money story, because it is so core, will strengthen your story with men as well–this goes for single and married women!

For most of us, true wealth includes much more than money, AND it includes financial success.

1.  Make a list of 10 beliefs you have about money.
2.  Make a list of 10 beliefs you have about men.

4.  Sign up for mentoring from a professional who has the kind of life you’d like in both of these areas.
5.  Read wealth consciousness books like “Get Rich While You Sleep” by Ben Sweetland.
6.  Read books on femininity like “A Woman’s Worth” by Marianne Williamson.

I am living my fairytale.  I’m in a season where the Feminine is finally center stage in my life.  Certainly marrying my soul mate at the top of the Spanish Steps added to the romantic flair that legends are made of.  It’s shown me how important the masculine is to support the feminine.  To have the outer ambiance and grandeur of the masculine…provided for, protected and made way for the feminine connection and relatedness and true union of marriage.
